This catalog is a fully illustrated story of the song ‘Learning to Fly’ by Pink Floyd. The style is a nod to the New Wave art movement with a modern touch. I felt New Wave fit the emotion of the song and the artists through its colors and textures.

Implementing things like overlays, textures, patterns, and color helped me to illustrate the lyrics throughout the catalog. Shifting of type size and color allowed certain lyrics to take front stage and express each page’s graphic illustration.
All the lyrics were looked at in both their meaning from the artist and the literal meaning of visuals. After having worked out the meanings each visual took place. Much like the meaning of being above the planet as literal and swirling vapor encompassing it.
