The idea came to me because college is expensive and though everyone wants their apartment to feel at home they also are on a tight budget. With Ufurnish students are both buying and selling so there's that mutual understanding of needing things for cheap. In addition to price, security, and safety are also a concern in a big city. That is where the idea of having to be verified as a student to even use the app came from.  Ufurnish is truly a safe and reliable student community for buying and selling.

When setting up a profile, students must verify themselves by using their I.D. card. After the profile is set up the student can then sign in by simply scanning that same I.D. The app works off a filter-based system.  Filters include price, item condition, college, and a variety of subcategories such as living room, bathroom, kitchen, etc. Once they have found an item they want to purchase or one they want to sell they can set up payment and delivery in a secure chat.
